With the start of our pilot, Mainstay’s principals were confident that Fiore would (and did) facilitate a meaningful decrease in the health problems contributing to a poor quality of life for people with intellectual or cognitive disabilities. What surprised Mainstay’s team was the magnitude of the program’s positive impact to the agency as a whole, and the depth of success for organizational departments beyond Operations and Programs. More specifically, the following eye-opening organizational results were noted and have been further developed, as a package named Fiore’s Turnkey Tools, for our select partners:
  1. Increased marketing and branding opportunities opened a number of new doors in the community.
  2. Captivated funders were so intrigued by a uniquely appealing story and measurable results that Fiore promptly paid for itself and introduced new revenue streams into the organization.
  3. Energized staff bought in to the new initiative and HR campaigns were fortified overall.
  4. Reduced food costs impacted the financials immediately.
  5. Agency reputation in the community catapulted beyond custodial care to include leadership and innovator status.
Specific Deliverables
for the agency and other stakeholders—Fiore’s Turnkey Tools—include:
  • Grant proposal templates (based on what has proven effective with funders) allowing you to seamlessly tailor information based on your agency’s implementation strategy and roll out of Fiore.
  • As changes become available, updated and evolving grant templates to reflect the evolving nature of your program, the resultant customer and societal impact, and the funding markets.
  • Periodic conference calls with Development staff to provide innovative Fiore-based funding opportunities (such as special events), and to answer questions.
  • Marketing material templates for mailers, provided three times per year. These allow you to communicate results, messages and offers to maximize resource development, agency awareness and involvement.
  • Suggested themes and methodologies to activate mailers, such as cookie recipes or salsa spice packets during specific holidays, shared quarterly.
  • Consultation regarding specific naming opportunities so you can brand (and trademark) your version of Fiore as unique to your agency.
  • Proven HR recommendations and methodologies to build esprit de corps among staff, and recognition for those who embrace Fiore and achieve novel results and outcomes within your organization—provided quarterly.
  • Critical administrative reports, availability predicated on the Pinpoint™ database information you collect, (under our helpful direction) and which allows management to compare:
    • Nutrition averages over time and across homes.
    • Per person daily food costs for each location.
    • Expected food costs based on the shopping list (according to the menus selected and the number of people for each meal)—for comparison and control purposes.

  • Access to the dedicated and knowledgeable Mainstay team of professionals who, for twenty years, have dedicated themselves to your specific challenges, opportunities and goals related to nutrition, cooking, health, staff dynamics, fundraising and cost control.
