It's increasingly difficult for organizations supporting people with developmental disabilities to raise money. Some of the reasons contributing to the challenge are:
  • Rising reluctance to fund general operating requests
  • Outsized expectations regarding exemplary financial and programmatic results
  • The proof that many funders demand relative to their "investment"
Perpetually generating and documenting innovative programs to meet these explicit parameters is a taxing mandate for agencies. Coupled with a disastrous economic downturn, a larger number of organizations seeking contributions, and all-too frequent natural disasters cannibalizing available resources, it’s not surprising that charitable funding for people with disabilities has decreased in the past several years, just when it is needed more than ever.

Funding to Agencies Supporting People with Disabilities

Fiore™ has tackled these Development challenges, starting to do so in the program implemented at the social service agency described in the About and Weight sections of this site. The agency used Fiore as the focus for an aggressive grant writing and marketing campaign targeted to charitable foundations, businesses, and local individuals by detailing improved health, increased community participation, and other positive outcomes of the initiative. The results among charitable foundations were the most impressive ever realized by the organization, with significant unrestricted grant dollars being raised; other funding and marketing awareness also increased substantially.

General Operating Funds Raised via Fiore™ Grant Proposals

Mainstay provides a series of grant proposal templates for you to use immediately. Your Development department will slightly customize these grants, with our support and your data, for submission to charitable foundations and other granting bodies.

Since programs must be updated to remain fresh and appealing to funders, we constantly revise information and publish new templates. We recognize the importance of the project’s evolution as well as the life cycle of your organization and results in order to sustain funding.
