We knew that our initiatives wouldn’t be implemented if busy—and sometimes inexperienced—staff felt overwhelmed or systems were overly complicated. As a result, we spent a great deal of time developing (and redoing!) programs to make the day-to-day easier and more productive for employees and management.

In the process, we also help staff make improvements by providing opportunities for personal advancement and enjoyment that benefits both the employee and the provider. Through our programs, staff members routinely become more efficient, more knowledgeable, happier, and healthier (corporate health insurance premiums—as one small example—should diminish, as a result).

A DSP recently commented that it was more enjoyable to come to work when Mainstay got involved during mealtime; she no longer had to come up with dinner ideas and grocery lists on her own that she admitted often left her feeling guilty. She pointed out how our recipes perpetually deliver great tasting, easy-to-prepare food, and different choices that consumers appreciate. It is more enjoyable to come to work when the people you support are happier and healthier, especially when your own workload ends up being reduced.

From a training standpoint, we can teach your staff how to use our Fiore system, as an example, in a few hours. Admittedly, old habits die hard, and this is where some resistance might surface. Having worked with providers for a long time, we’ve seen and heard a full gamut of complaints and delaying tactics. We choose to handle objections upfront, proactively, and by continually: encouraging and responding to staff and consumers; making ourselves available around the clock; being present in your kitchens at meal times; and improving our offerings to suit your needs. Essentially, we
guarantee that your staff will embrace change quickly and sustainably.

Mainstay’s professionals have a great deal of experience and success with organizational change management. We use our backgrounds to help providers implement improvements that are no longer up for discussion, but are increasingly considered to be mandatory changes (such as those regarding the establishment of preventative health, controlling food expenses, and containing healthcare costs).

Our personal approach, flexibility, and streamlined/customized systems make today’s hurdles easier to jump over. We are dedicated to making sure you and your busy employees say, “Now what took us so long?”
